Religious Discrimination & Harassment

10/18/19

I was denied my supper kosher tray yesterday, no one told me why? I believe it was retaliation for complaints I filed recently against Aramark food manager (Ellis) for knowingly serving me outdated bread they knew was unkosher!

10/06/19

Listen, yesterday, I was denied my right to worship as a form of punishment for coming back to my housing unit to obtain my identification card (I.D. Card). I had Hebrew Israelite services (10/5/19) yesterday at 1p.m., when I left my housing unit (F) to go to service i realized i forgot to get my I.D. Card so, I returned to my housing unit and I told one of the guards i came back to get my I.D. card i forgot. When I tried to leave my housing unit to go to service i was told by one of the custody staff that a yard custody staff stated i could not go to service because I returned to my housing unit to get my I.D. card and i was not allowed to worship for this very reason. I found out Sgt. McCollum gave this order to deny me this fundamental right. The right to worship is a fundamental Constitutional right that I have under the united states and Indiana Constitution and this prison guard had no business interfering with it. I believe I was targeted by this custody staff, custody is not supposed to interfere with religious services, this is not a part of their job duties!

Petty Harassment

10/16/19

As of October 8, 2019, George Payne is the official assistant warden at this prison and this has resulted in a lot of pettiness and absurd actions, such as, cannot bring your bowl that was purchased off of the prison commissary to the chow hall, etc…

Restricting Outdoor Recreation

The Indiana code section 11-11-5-4, Prohibits Officials from placing restrictions on our outdoor recreation as a method of punishment.Contrary to this statute officials at this prison are building an oversized Dog Cage right in the middle of the outdoor yard on phase one. This move is going to limit our yard access, by confining us inside a 20 foot chain link fence, that will be locked! We are told this move is about increasing our access to outdoor recreation, but the reality is, this is a social control measure designed to isolate us more from each other and to have more control over our environment, so, these officials can be able to better manipulate this environment. Although these officials have some control, they want to be able to have more control, to dictate our social behavior in such a way that we have no freedom of choice!I have said this prison i a laboratory for experimenting on human subjects, and they are using us as test subjects, to see what will and what will not work. Create an environment that fosters fear, hate, anger, and frustration and eventually, you create monsters who turn on each other and once trinkle down to the outside world they will only unleash this internalized hatred, fear, and anger on their communities? This is going to turn bad and we all are going to suffer in the end. This oversize dog cage is counterproductive and is the wrong ideal, its purpose is no different than the purpose that the dog cages on the SHU . . We are in general population, but are being subjected to punitive disciplinary SHU-like conditions.

Inadequate Food

[T]here is a Problem with food service and we are not being fed adequate portions of food. On Saturdays and Sundays we are only fed twice.Once at breakfast and supper,we do not receive any lunch. During these days we are supposed to get enhanced meals to make up for the third meal but this never happens? Our calorie intake is only amounting to 1800 total during weekdays. Although we get three meals, we only get two hot meals and a sack that consist of one peanut butter and coldcut sandwich, a cookie, and one pack of kool aid. The peanut butter sandwich is pre-made. The calories are intentionally reduced to less than 2000 a day. The food is terrible compared to the fresh favorites that Aramark sale to prisoners and their families at outrageous prices! Aramark and IDOC is hustling Indiana tax payers! The meals we get are not costing no more than 50 cents per meal if that. Most the food they are feeding us has warning labels on it that states this food is not fit for human consumption. This is a crime against humanity!I
