IDOC Wall of Shame: Officer Humphrey at Branchville CF Needs to Go!! End the Provocations & Abuse!

This post is the first in ongoing series we’re calling the “Wall of Shame", which is intended to expose the worst of the worst of IDOC officials and staff.

We received this information from someone with a loved one incarcerated at Branchville CF on March 5:

There was an incident this morning with a corrections officer named Ofc. Humphrey that has had multiple grievances filed on him in the past for provoking the incarcerated men. This morning he provoked someone and got beat up, ran out of the dorm, then was back two hours later in the same dorm. These men are scared to say anything because of retaliation that happens anytime they speak up for themselves. This is what just happened up at ISP, and an officer provoking the men got himself injured and another officer killed. Branchville is a level two facility where these men are working hard to come home to their families, but these officers provoke them until something happens and they end up losing more time. This is a serious issue, these officers are not following policies and are putting people’s lives in danger.
