A message from Bro. Khalfani Malik Khaldun

For years political prisoners here inside the department of corrections have been unfortunately ran up on conduct reports that were only filed to alter or stop the release of many good men who have been fighting for years to expose the system that allows staff officials in various prisons around this state. To target us for pursuing civil litigation against them for bringing civil lawsuits against them when we try to pursue things in court, instead of resorting to violence our efforts should be applauded, because we are doing things differently.

I can remember when several of the comrades were on visits seeing their female companions when their visits ended…[they] got a nice kiss. The visiting room officer filed class B conduct reports against 3 of these men. They were found guilty and lost good time, which led to these men being held in prison beyond their release dates.

The IDOC have created a new policy that if we commit a battery on a staff member or an outside volunteer they can now take every day of our good time.

If they do this to us, our original time has to begin over. That is too much power to give anyone who could be trying to prevent us from going home.

So it’s now extremely important that we be mindful of these traps they can set us up to fall into.
